Amethyst is a beautiful purple version of the expanded Quartz crystal. The purple color is caused by natural radiation, admixtures of iron and titanium, or the presence of other elements.

Its name comes from the Greek αμεθυστος (amethystos). The Greeks believed that the stone protects the wearer from drunkenness from drinking wine. Today, however, we use it for completely different purposes.

The Amethyst Cluster has the same metaphysical properties of the Amethyst stone, with the difference that many people use it in communal meditation because of the cluster of crystals.
